Local friends, please simply follow the nation's
protocol: social distancing, wear your mask when
you move around the resort, sanitize your hands
and follow the signs.
Travellers from abroad will need to present a negative PCR test taken less than 72h prior to departure. They must also be fully vaccinated or present an overriding reason, as well as self-isolate for 7 days.
Over in China, the doors to our resorts and retreats
are open to domestic travellers only, as borders
remain closed for now. A health QR code is required
upon check-in. Local travellers from high and middle-risk
areas should check in with their region's regulations.
The Maldives' one island=one resort has made it an
alluring destination since day 1. You must present a
negative PCR test taken less than 96h prior to
departure and fill out an online health declaration
(https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/) and a Resort
declaration form that should be emailed to Reservations
less than 48h prior to arrival. For extra precaution,
at LUX* South Ari Atoll, we require a PCR test on
arrival at our seaplane lounge (free of charge). If your
test comes back positive, you will be required to
self-isolate for 14 days. Have a split stay? Be sure to
submit a negative PCR test 24h before visiting our
Travellers who have been to Brazil, South Africa or certain South East Asian countries in the past two weeks will undergo a mandatory PCR test (free of charge) at the resort. This applies to children above age 6 as well. Indian nationals will need to stay in isolation for 48h in addition to the protocol for at-risk countries above.
If your home country requires a PCR test, we can do it from the comfort of our resort for USD 125 per test (the sample is sent to ADK Hospital in Male).
During phase I, from the 15th of July to the 30th of
September 2021, vaccinated travellers can travel to
Mauritius where they can enjoy an in-resort holiday of
1 to 14 days in a Covid-safe hotel such as LUX* Grand
Gaube Resort & Villas and Tamassa Bel Ombre. After
day 14, they can freely explore the island.
Unvaccinated travellers are required to stay in an official quarantine for 14 days. After 3 negative PCR tests, they are free to wander the island on day 14.
From the 1st of October, we enter phase II during which vaccinated travellers presenting a negative PCR test 72 hours prior to boarding are free to explore Mauritius. Unvaccinated travellers will be required to quarantine for 14 days before exploring Mauritius.
During phase I, you must stay within the resort grounds.

all meals, and include a variety of experiences, from
coconut bowling for our Little Travellers of LUX*,

dinners for the grown-ups.
Absolutely! Our LUX* Me Spa at LUX* Grand Gaube
and Santosha Spa at Tamassa Bel Ombre are open
on appointment during phase I. You can also try using
sand as a scrub at the beach, followed by a dip in the
mineral-rich lagoon for a little DIY-spa.
We also think holiday time is a good time to get
balanced. Our gyms are open on appointment during
phase I. We also have outdoor fitness classes such as
morning walks or jogs on the beach, sunrise or sunset
yoga and even meditation. And watersports. Head to
the boat house to borrow a paddleboard, kayak...
Yes! We have live cooking but also plenty of delicious
la carte dishes. Our numerous restaurants have a
variety of cuisines (Your taste buds will never get bored).

In phase I, you can stay at LUX* Grand Gaube Resort
& Villas and Tamassa Bel Ombre. As from 1st October
2021, you can stay at all of our LUX*, SALT and Tamassa
properties in Mauritius.
Yes. In phase I, you must present a negative PCR test
72 hours prior to boarding. You will also have a PCR test
on your day of arrival at the airport, day 7 and day 14 at
your hotel. If you test negative on day 14, you are free to
wander the island. We are happy to say that we will be
covering the costs of all three PCR tests taken at the
hotel as well as your airport transfers if you stay a
minimum of 4 nights.
You must be fully vaccinated with any of the following:

A mask isn't required when you're at the pool, the
beach, or seated at a restaurant or bar. However,
you will need to wear a mask when you're going from
one place to another.
Absolutely. Our kids clubs will be open to our Little
Travellers with our Collective Care sanitary protocols
in place. Our in-resort stays include a variety of fun
activities for the kids too.
You will be driven to and from your hotel by approved
transfer operators. Be sure to wear your mask! We will
cover the cost of the transfer if you stay for a minimum
of 4 nights.
Yes. The test will be conducted in your hotel room
and be collected by the private clinic at your expense.

As an unvaccinated traveller, you can travel to
Mauritius as from 1st October. However, you will
be required to quarantine for 14 days in an approved
quarantine before you can wander the island.
All reservations for arrivals between now and 31 October
2021 will not be subject to any cancellation or rebooking
charges until 3 days prior to arrival.
Any prepaid amounts will be fully refunded for all reservations with arrivals between now and 31 October 2021.
For postponed stays with original arrival dates between now and 31 October 2021, no rebooking charges will apply, and the new stay dates will be confirmed at the same originally booked rate for new stay dates up to and inclusive of 22 December 2021. For new stay dates from 23 December 2021 onwards, these stays will be confirmed at the rate applicable and combined with any offers and promotions in force at the time of reconfirmation of the new stay dates.
